The camera and the sensors are connected to the control panel and any abnormal activity triggers the alarm more effectively than in a wires system. Since they are not depended on electricity their coverage area is also wider and can be expanded to remote areas of a large property easily. The downside is that you just have to make sure that the batteries are always charged. They work on radio waves are thus vulnerable to radio interferences. But they are easier to uninstall and move and can be installed even by the homeowner himself. Finer devices like wireless intrusion alarm systems trigger off alarms the moment there is suspicious activity in the peripheral limits of the property making them great watchdogs for remote homes.
